Karl Slezak is a short-listed member of the Canadian Eventing Team. He rides out of Wolf Run Farm in Caledon East, Ontario where he is the head trainer. Karl has been involved in horses for the past twenty years and in this time has worked with many young horses as well as produced eight advanced level horses two of which qualified for the 2010 World Equestrian Games and is currently bringing an extremely talented new mount, VDL Ulando H up through the ranks. With a strong 10th place finish in the CCI** at Fair Hill this fall, this pair will move up to Advanced for the winter season Florida
In 2001 Karl achieved his “A” level in pony club and became an Equine Canada Certified level one coach. In 2002, he was the youngest male to be awarded the Ontario Horse Trials Leading Male Rider Award. Karl competes in both Canada and the United States and has competed a wide variety of horses at all levels as well as produced a number of wins. Karl excels at working with young horses and developing their talent as well as with more experienced horses who are ready to take on upper level events.
Karl works hard to develop up and coming riders and works tirelessly to educate individuals on all aspects of the sport. Wolf Run Farm serves as the perfect venue for Karl’s teaching and training business with 25 spacious stalls, acres of hacking, a sand and jump ring as well as a prime location near to most Ontario Horse Trials as well as the Caledon Equestrian Park.
